blue green algae finished?
I've had the best time doing this
For some reason the white gel pens are not working too well. The original idea was to draw over the background (inks and isopropyl) letting the form of the colours determine the the outlines.

Starting to post my Christmas designs
For the first time in my life I am really looking forward to Christmas this year. With two grandchildren - one old enough to understand the implications of the season - its going to be so much fun! Aidan turns 3 on the 7th of December so he has two good reasons to be excited about this season. It is awesome (in the TRUE sense of the word) to observe the wonder and delight with which he approaches the world (sigh)
Really nice art site - lots of eye candy and inspiration
One could spend an awful lot of time here - enjoy it and make something of your own.

Apology and a new art site for the day
It's either blogger playing up or it's me - but I have just found 18 comments I didn't know I had to moderate! oh well I am sorry for not responding - thought everyone was ignoring me!
That said I thought this was a very quick and useful guide to principles of design that would help in making your layouts REALLY work. Hope you find it helpful, I know I did.

Bacon Humour
Just the thing for your kiddies "oowies"
And here is an essential part of my personal toilette:
BLT Hair Conditioner
Completely coat your hair with cooled bacon grease, wrap coated hair in a towel and allow to sit for 8-10 minutes. Wash hair with lettuce and tomato based shampoo available at Health Food Stores everywhere. Before drying hair dab a small amount of Miracle Whip in your hand as a styling agent and gently run fingers through your hair, keeping in mind a little goes along way.
Then dry hair with a blow dryer set on low and while standing over your toaster as it toasts at least four pieces of white bread. This will allow the aroma of toasted bread to permeate the hair follicles. Style as usual. You will benefit from the aroma of BLT's for days to come!

5 Weird things about me - thanks Sue!!
The rules of the tag are: List 5 weird things about yourself or your pets.
Tag 5 friends and list them. Then, those people need to write on their blogs about 5 weird things, and state the rules, and tag 5 more people.
Don't forget to let the people you tag know by posting a comment on their blog!
So here's my 5 (this took a whole afternoon LOL)
1. I regularly dream about beds
2 I have been married 3 times and every surname has ended with "on" ie Medson, Weedon, Bacon.
3. I never had a "real" talk or chat with my father.
4. I can recite (from memory) "A Bush Christening" by Banjo Patterson
5 My teabag must remain in the boiling water for 25 seconds precisely, and the cup must be full.
Done! So I will tag
