Redone Quilt - opinions Required

painted doodle (work in progress)
I have been working on this for weeks and think I have finally got it right. Well at least the basic doodle. The colouring I am not sure about, so it's VERY roughly done at present, I will clean it up when I have finalised the palette.
I don't normally colour my doodles or zentangles but Candace Palmer at GCU got me thinking about doing it. She has lots of cute cards have a look at her store here! I will ask her if she wants to have a try at some colouring in! If she agrees I will post it here, so stay tuned.

Late night doodle
My insomnia is not improving - this is ONE of the things I do between the hours of 2am and 6am.
I am eagerly awaiting delivery of my Lamy Safari with fine point from Jet Pens to see how it performs for this detailed work. I bought one locally at Kikki K but they only had medium point, which is VERY nice for writing but definitely too thick for this sort of work.

QUILTY BITS
Life seems to be out of control right now, so I am finding some quiet in quilting. This one I am making for Pete, who LOVES hot bright colours. This layout is defintely not final as the dark and light hexagons are going to be more prominent as I make more and more pieces. Found the inspiration for this in a 1984 QNM! (not a great pic - the sun was pretty bright)
and here is a quilt for my shining star granddaughter who will turn 4 at the end of this month! It's twice the size now and the piecing of the blocks is finished. I'll post another pic when it's all joined.

Gratitude
Thought I would share some of my latest cards, seems I am in a "grateful" state. I am particularly thankful and appreciative of all those people who buy my cards from
my GCU store and also from Zazzle. The happiness from each sale is never proportional to the financial reward but there is always that sense of wonder that someone thought enough of my cards to send one to friends, family, customers. I am grateful to each one of you!

I was reading Sue Jones' Blog about blogging by email so I am giving it a go. How neat this will surely ----errrrr surely prompt me to blog more frequently - actually I am sure it will.
anyway let's see if this works...
Haven't posted for ages so talking to my redneck mate Norval has given me a boost to write something...anything! I *do* have alot to say but alot of it just stays in my head - it's not just blogging, it applies to keeping up with emails and diaries as well.
You know I have been SO surprised that I seem to be selling mostly foreign language Christmas cards. Quite strange... Here is my best seller since mid Novemeber
and this one has been my best selling non-Christmas card
It always fascinates me as to what sells and what doesn't so it will be interesting what the next week or so will bring...

Aren't they soooo special? I bought them for my grand daughter Talia. When I saw Ujean's painting I KNEW they were Talia to a T!! and how wonderful they are in real life!

Freeform Peyote Beaded Bracelet
I've been stuck too long in drawing etc and needed a break. So... I thought I would play with my beads again. I have always been fearful of the peyote stitch but this time I persevered and made this (click for a bigger view):
I am not sure if I have finished with the embellishments yet and then all is needed is the loop and button closure. Definitely going to try this in a different colour scheme.
